Why is FOX news so conservative but FOX tv shows, like Family Guy, American Dad, The War at Home, and the Simpsons so liberal?

Fox was acquired by Rupert Murdoch's media conglomerate a few years back and they started FOX News from scratch and according to his Conservative beliefs.
The FOX Network was started back in the late 80s and was raunchy from the start (remember Married With Children??) ...FOX's raunchy shows are their most successful.
Mr. Murdoch isn't going to switch to a bunch of 'Touched by an Angel' type shows....he knows what side his bread is buttered on.
So the simple answer is: It's all about the $$$$

News is mostly not entertaining especially in politics, and business. Programming TV is for an audience of all ages to watch and ratings.
