Why is it wrong to question homosexuality?

It has not been proven to be natural or biological. it could very well be a mental disorder...Why do we consider this notion clase closed. Pedophiles are known as mentally ill people. A lot of people that consider thmselves gay or bisexual have a history of sexual abuse...this is a fact....and why is it a fad for girls to be bisexual. I heard something like 35% of girls 18-21 consider themselves bisexual in US colleges. I don't pass judgement on homosexuals ..I'm just asking why can't I question it?

Something is considered a mental illness when it profoundly and negatively affects a person's daily functioning. Last I checked, most homosexual individuals did not have difficulty going about their daily lives just because they were homosexual.
I've worked with sex offenders. I've also completed the academic requirement to become a licensed sex offender treatment provider. You would be surprised how many sex offenders are heterosexual.
Let me ask you a question......when did you make your decision to be heterosexual? If sexuality is a choice, ergo not biological or natural...do you remember when you made your choice to be heterosexual? I sure don't.
You are welcome to your opinions and you are welcome to question whatever you want. But in your question....are you really looking for answers or are you seeking a response that just substantiates your beliefs?

Mental disorders often have natural biological causes too- consider Alzheimers. But that's neither here nor there- why assume that there's anything "wrong" with anyone's sexual orientation? It's like their favorite color, or liking salty vs sweet flavors- whatever their brains happen to respond positively to.

As to why it's a fad for girls to be bisexual, that's an issue for sociology I suppose. Each generation is generally less constrained than the one preceding it, so are less likely to simply follow traditions without question. They have the advantage of advances in science and technology that previous generations did not. We once thought leeches were a good treatment for illnesses, that sun revolved around the flat earth (which was in agreement with the teachings of the church). Now we know better.

It's not wrong to question anything, but the long-accepted notion that there's something "wrong" with any particular sexual preference, has no basis in science.

I think it is healthy to ask questions and to seek answers. No break through in any field of study has happened without asking those difficult questions. If we just gave up on such things as cancer, Parkinson's, MS, gender and racial based questions then we would not have advanced in these areas as much as we have. The only problem, in regards to your question, is to treat a homosexual differently from other people because of their sexuality. BTW, science is now able to prove some of the things that "Grandma" used to say. Perhaps your questioning could lead to needed answers. Good luck.

Food for thought...has heterosexuality been proved to be natural or biological? No, we just assume that it is. Pedophiles are sexually assualting someone, what they are doing in not consectual--that is a crucial difference. Next, think about gay people. Whether it be people that you yourself know or celebrities for that matter. Is being gay easy? Do you think that people choose to be gay? Our society greatly stigmatizes gay people and sometimes people are killed because they are gay--Matthew Shepard. "Coming out" isn't easy. People are baned from military enrollment. If you think about what it means to be gay and gay people experiences around being gay---they are rarely if ever easy. For, this reason my gut tells me that being gay is not something someone chooses and that there is a biological component to it. Back to your original question---it is never, ever wrong to question anything! More importantly, it is never, ever wrong to THINK about everything. Always think for yourself and come up with your own conclusions. And, even more importantly, always keep thinking and allow yourself to re-think how you feel from time to time. And, remember the only way we can know what it is like to live in someone else's shoes is to ask them with an open mind and open ears.

Because by doing so you violate the popular liberal culture of having no responsibility for your actions and everyone is a victim. I'm quite sure this will even be reported to the thought police as being offensive to someone when in fact it is an honest and legitimate question.

I have a child (16) who considers herself to be bi. I'm not concerned about it, because I think that she's normal (hetero).

The difference is that women are very beautiful, and girls notice it. Also, girls are reminded of their mother by other females, just like guys are. It's perfectly normal for a child (13 to 27) learning about life and themselves to feel attracted to beings that are built to be attractive. Women!

Whe says you cannot or even cares ?
I personally believe that male homosexuality is a result of a birth defect....
I believe that most true lesbians are the same...
I believe that Bi girls are mostly a cultural / societal phenomenon

You can question it all you want. The only ones who are going to object are the ones who are that way and have some sort of complex, and they are the ones who feel most uncomfortable with anyone asking questions.

If somebody has a problem with me asking a question, it's not my problem, it's their problem and they can deal with it.

Why would you want to judge them if that's what you mean. It's not a mental condition it's just who they find more attractive. I mean saying being homosexual is a mental condition is like saying that i have a mental condition cuz im straight . why juddge or question ppl who like the same sex. would you want to be judged cuz u like women??
