Great question! I think I actually hide in relationships to avoid growing as a person. So if I didn't have all that romance mess to occupy my time I'd throw myself completely into creative pursuits. I would be painting every day & taking work to galleries. I would write the Great Canadian Novel & more poems. I would write more songs, practice playing guitar more & improve my skills, play in more bars, work harder on putting another CD together. Maybe I'd do theatre again. I would go after my dreams full force with nothing in my way...
but it's easier to just date some guy & neglect myself and my dreams because I fear failure...
Wow, you really have me thinking now...should I be an artist or stifle myself by being in love with someone?...

I would find myself here (as sex and romance ARE out of the picture and have been for 15 years)

I would probably be sitting here alone on Yahoo Questions and Answers over doing it, as compared to having a blast (from time to time) answering with my wife/mate.
