Bats do not get tangled in peoples hair. They don't have radar either. They use sound echoes (sonar) and it works well enough that a bat can fly through a fan while it's running and not get hit by the blades. The thing about them getting in people's hair is an old wive's tale that came about because of the bats swooping at people's heads. They are going after the mosquitoes that are after the people, not the people themselves.

1. Bats use sonar, not radar. Sonar is not "strictly underwater", it's a matter of emitting high-pitched sound and perceiving 3D structures in the way that sound bounces back from the surroundings to the bat's ears.
2. Bats can see your hair perfectly well, and almost never get tangled in it. It's an urban legend that they do.

Its an Urban Legend. Never happened. (At least not in enouigh instances to label bats as likely to get stuck in your hair...)

Bats san use sonar powerful enough to detect and home in on a moving mosquito for yards away, and are nocturnal, meaning they are active after we go back in the house and get ready for bed.

Name one verified case of a bat getting tangled up in a person's hair.

I have never heard of a bat getting tangled in someones hair... that IS just an urban legend. If it does happen, its probably because they confused your hair for a bug

Don't happen. It's sonar by the way. My wifes deathly afraid of bats for the same reason. I've seen test where bats fly through a room criss crossed with piano wire. They didn't hit a one.

It is a form of radar. SONAR is strictly underwater

Just how long is your hair? Maybe you should get it cut.
