Guess the website of the USA Embassy in Nigeria is where you start. It is not too hard to invite your friend for a holliday, but to live longterm in the US will be real hard.....unless your friend applies for a scolarship and studies in the US. Good luck!

did you meet him on the Internet? Because the number one country for scam artists is Nigeria. First they talk with you and send you pictures (That usually are not even them) Then eventually they will ask for money. If he says he wants to come to America he may ask you for money to buy a ticket to America because for what ever reason you can't buy it for him. So he will ask you to send him the money. Don't do it! Chances are this guy is talking with a bunch of other lonely women preying on their giving hearts. Try testing him somehow. If you refuse to give him money he may just stop talking to you.

OH GOOD GOD ANOTHER SCAM !!! Let me guess... this "friend" contacted you in an instant message and told you this silly story. He wants you to send him money I am sure. Get this straight: he does NOT want to come to the US, that is pure fiction. He wants to rip you off for money is all he wants to do. Don't believe for a minute that he wants to come to the US. He is nothing but a crook.

Unless you really know this person (if you have met them in person) then this is almost certainly what is known as a 419 scam. It is a very common occurrance where a conman (Who really is usually Nigerian) will contact you by email, saying they need help to do something. If you try to help them, you will never see your money again.

Be very careful.

It's a scam, don't fall for it. There was even an episode of Dr. Phil about it recently.
