Oh. be tough. In the 60's we used to freeze our ears with ice cubes in a washcloth. Disinfect a sewing needle, alcohol and then burn it with a match and then when it cooled have someone with a lot of strength in their hands jab it on through. Put the earring in and keep it clean for at least 6 wks. before changing the earring. Look on E-bay but, it's really, really cheap at walmart and jewelry stores these days!

For the price of a piercing gun, you can go to a piercing studio and get your cartilage pierced.

Piercing guns are dangerous - especially self-piercing. You run the real risk of shattering cartilage and infection. I had my cartilage pierced over ten years ago and it's never healed up completely. I have a large ugly scar behind my ear from it.

Please read the page I have recommended! It'll give you some good pointers and reasons why not to pierce your cartilage with a gun. I know that this likely isn't the answer you wanted, but trust me! It will be much better for you in the long run! :)

When piercing cartalidge with a piercing gun you run the risk of shattering the cartalidge in addition to creating unsightly scar tissue, for the price you would pay for the piercing gun and shipping you could get it done at a studio by a professional.

I'm not sure but you could save some money by using a pin and an ice cube but make sure to heat up the end of the pin with a lighter then cool it down by dipping it in hydrogen peroxide and wiping off the burnt part with a cloth dipped in peroxide. Numb the ear with the ice cube and put the pin in. It is best to haVE A friend help you. good luck

HI. I am not sure where you live but Sally beauty supply carries single pierce guns. They are inexpensive and you can do it yourself if you are brave enuf. Be careful tho...the cartlidge is very sentsitive and certain areas if not done correctly can cause major damage. GL:) (single meaning good for 2 holes and then throw it away) .

Please don't! I have friend who did that and she got this huge infection and had to have surgery to cut it out! Get it professionally done at a really really clean, professional place, because cartilage is really hard to do. It's dangerous! Be careful, and good luck!
