the bruise is about the size of the palm of a hand. It was caused by a paint mixer that got out of control and hit me in the chest.

Did you go to the Hospital? If it happened on the job than its a work related injury which should be covered under Workers Compensation. Please seek professional help via The Hospital and not us on Yahoo Answers

You can soak in a tub with epsom salts, ice it for 20 minutes four times a day, and apply aspercream as directed on the package...that should help.............But you should make sure you didn't crack a rib.

rest
ice
compression
elevation

You should file a lawsuit! They will pay for all your doctor consultations.
