I live where I have no reception. I can get 2 channels but they are fussy. But cable is here. I'm not paying for tv.

I agree! Just for regular cable where I live it is like $70.00 a month, and that is just regular channels, not premium channels like HBO! And when you call the cable company, they are astonished that I don't want a digit box with more channels that I won't watch, and other gadgets, that would make my monthly bill according to them " ONLY $150.00 to 200.00 a month", NO SPANK YOU! I 'll just keep watching my DVDs!

I have seen ads that advertise an antenna that can attach to tv and get better reception and more channels just like cable. Other than that invent a way. The world could use something where you could get 30 to 100 channels with out cable or satelite dish and for free.

Other wise pay to have the cable. It isn't all that expensive.

First of all, the local channels are free and if you want to watch them for free then you need to be able to recieve it. When buying cable you understand that you are not buying local channels, you are buying the other - farther range channels. Therefore, if you buy cable that is up to you but I prefer more channels to chose from when watching tv. By the way, the reason you pay for cable is that the licenses to broadcast are very expensive as well as the air wave frequency.

One day I think that there will be FREE TV ~ I mean it(reciever) will be built right in to the TV.

Advertising will obviously cover the costs or PRivate interest groups may cover some costs if they wish to get a message "out there"

... any way you look at it you DO NOT HAVE TO WATCH the programming....(for all those who claim I am trying to "control" the programming)

The fact is that I think all the "older movies and tv shows" will be accessable at any given time....DATABASE.... this is the vision.
