I'm doing a project and need a couple of restaurants in Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon. Also, I need to know some places, again in Vancouver and Portland, for a family with young kids to visit for the weekend, for a retired couple and for a business person. Any ideas on any of these?

I have been to portland (sorry don't know about Vancouver). You can go to Yahoo yellow pages to get the address then yahoo map it from the location you will be staying. I would suggest a few places that are kid, business, and family friendly (not corny ;-) )....

The Old Spagetti Factory http://www.osf.com/ . Really neat set up! It even has a boxcar in the middle. This is good for kids and family.

For the business person I would suggest Portland City Grill http://www.portlandcitygrill.com/index.cfm . It is on the top floor of the US bank tower downtown. The view is excellent and the decore is classy with wine cellars and a fire place! They have great wine, the crab cakes are delicious, and the happy hour menu has and excellent selection.

Todai http://www.todai.com/OLD/index.htm , on the top floor of Pioneer Place Mall. It is an all you can eat buffet of asian food (not trashy like and Izzy's or anything). It is a VERY clean resturant! The decor is kid and adult friendly. They have sushi, chow mein, ribs, crab legs, design your own ramen station, tiny bit size deserts so you can try them all, and a bunch of other items to choose from. It is about $12- $17 per person (it is free for people who are celebrating their birthday.

There is also a restaurant called Le Bistro Montage http://www.montageportland.com/ . It is Creole food, but they have a really cool macaroni selection (chicken, pesto's, spicy, plain cheese). Now it does have some oddities on the menu such as frog legs, gator bits, and swamp critters! That would be for the more adventurous types LOL! It is family seating with all the tables seated together (you don't know who they will set next to you, but the people that go there are very cool! It is great for late night dining. They also wrap up your togo food in foils that they can shape anyway you like! The prices are fantastic too!

Hope this helps :-) !
