If you are in a business where handing them out will get you clients and customers, it would make NO sense not to. If you have cards just to show your title or something, why bother? I carry mine everywhere I go, they're cheap (vistaprint.com) and that's how I build my client base and it's great if you want to give your number to someone you meet and don't have a pen!!

I give out a business card like once a year.
But hey, you can drop one off in some restaurants for a raffle to win a free meal!

I carry the mom business card-its a half eaten peanut butter & jelly sandwhich somewhere on my person at all times.....lol.

Always. if I'm in a store or restaurant and I get great service, sometimes I'll offer them a job where I work as I generally pay much better and the job could lead the way to a union job. I'm always looking for new staff...

I didn't used to, but now I own my own knitting shop and people complain if I don't have a card handy. (Fanatics love to knit.
