Where can I find my php.ini file?

I don't have a /usr file though

Depending on your os, this is a configuration item that's set when php is compiled. PHP will actually look in a few different places for one when it starts. In linux, it's typically configured to look in the /etc directory. For windows, my recollection is the \windows\system directory.
