I for one, think it is not even music, i think it is an abomination. Rap, or c-rap as they call it on the streets, is mostly filled with hatefull lyrics and stupid no future thugs, only crackheads, and trailer trash listen to it. what do you think?

I grew up listening to it, and still do listen to it from time to time. I will agree that the new rap is pretty bad, and filled with hateful lyrics. But the old stuff I like isn't that bad. Does that make you respect me less? I sure hope not...

I think that is a very narrow minded, incorrect opinion. I'm sure that nothing but negative stereotypical words and phrases could be spit out about other genres of music. All of any type of music isn't good or bad, I'm sorry that's just the case. I agree, alot of rap music is loaded with vulgarity, violence and stereotypes. NOT ALL. It's fine if you don't like it, that's your right, but believe me, many people listen to it besides crackheads, future thugs and trailer trash. Whatever music is your choice may also be listened to by some rap artists. Many of them are well rounded in their musical tastes, you'd be surprised. And by the way, many rap songs are for amusment and entertainment purposes, not to be taken literally.

I like Rap but I prefer R&B more. As for you saying Rap is an abomination? I feel it's alot better than hearing a bunch of un-talented idiots yelling and complaining in Rock music!

I couldn't agree with you more. I can not stand it! Once I was driving down a street and I stopped next to a car. In the car were two men and they were listening to rap. Anyway, I couldn't help but listen to some of the lyrics and they said, "Now, if your ugly, and look old..." and at this time I am thinking about how rap has no meaning to me. So, anyway, I totally agree with you.

I f*cking hate rap!!! It is a horrible sound (wont even call it music) and it needs to stop being made!! God just the thought of rap music makes me mad! I went to the bowling alley last night with some friends and thats all we heard along with some annoying little girls shakin there as* to it and singing! ahh man i just wanted to shoot someone!! I would rather but off my pinky toe then listen to rap music!

Count me in. I hate the stuff too and I have listened to it and what I heard was disgusting. I don't have children, but if I did that is music I would steer them away from.
Now when M.C. Hammer came out I kind of liked him, but he slowly lost my favor. One person said that everybody has different tastes and he's right. If you don't like it don't listen to it, so I don't. I listen to my own kind of music. That's our right. Don't like it, don't listen to it..

Thank you for saying that!!!!i agree completely!! even though i am a teenager i abominate rap. i mean come on at least have some sort of melody to it!! sheesh!! and what it has in it is stuff i don't have to know!!!

Each of us has our own taste in music. Me? I hate country music, but rap is tolerable to me.
