my mom says i shouldnt wear eye liner! what do you think?

Why shouldn't you?
Eyeliner has been worn for thousands of years, the egyptians have worn it and started that trend? It's nothing new. However if your young and live at home you need to fallow your parents rules. However work with your mom on that see what she will let you wear, it might be a lighter shade then what you want to wear, but as you get older trends will change.

I have worked with make up for modeling and photography eye liner can cause damage if it's in the eye or if your allergic to an ingrediant. That's the only thing i can think of you left us in the dark on why she didn't aprove of it.

However you can never go wrong with light eyeliners or a white on use in the inner rim of your lower lid, it's what tira banks does it gives a awake look even if you had 4 hours of sleep.

It depends on the color and how much drama you want to bring to your eyes. Ask your mom to take you to the mall for a cosmetologist to show a color that flatters you and how to apply it correctly. If you find that you don't like it, you can always stop using it.

Word of advise, you should always toss your eye liner/mascara every 4 months to prevent eye infections.

Wearing make up is a double edged sword. Once you start wearing eyeliner, you'll notice when you don't and become overly self conscious. However- you may want to take a look at Bobbi Brown's Book of Teenage Beauty. It may have something where you and your madre can comprimise on what you can wear and you can't. If you're wearing make up to feel 'pretty' you're doing yourself no justice by wearing it; your just buying into that image.

Wear it only if u want to. It may bring out your eyes more. U don''t have to use just black. Choose brown to be a neutral. R try other colors. U might like how it looks..u don't then stop wearing it.

My mom doesn't either but if your under 13 then u look like a racoon, but if your a little older it looks pretty don't be in a rush u'll proabably get 2 wear it in like a year!

Did she say why she does not want you to put this stuff around your eye area? One reason not to wear it is that it contains some highly toxic ingredients, and I always say if you wouldn't eat it then you most certainly do not want it on your skin. However you will do it anyway so why are you asking us?

I think its ok for you to wear eyeliner as long as you dont wear too much that makes it look like u have a black eye but simple eyeliner would look really cute!

you also need to be really really careful and have someone show you how to use it, because if you don't know how you can puncture your eye or get an eye infection. Also it can look kinda fake so make sure you only use a little.

Depends on what your reasons for wearing it are. If you are wearing it to look prettier, scratch that...you're prettier with out it. But it is fun to mess around with...and remember, mom probably knows best.
