About a month to heel and the hormonal balance to restore...even if you feel well you could hemorrhage. I felt great after unloading a 9.2 baby after the first week but hemorrhaged something awful a week later for no reason at all. Then I had to stay off my feet for another week while on meds. It was pretty damn scary....I really thought it was over for me.

It really depends on the person and type of delivery- was it vaginal or c-section? If vaginal, was there any tearing? How many stitches were needed?
I give it about 4 weeks at least, to really feel well and adjust to the schedule the baby has now put you on. You used to sleep thru the night, and now you have to learn to sleep when the baby does, which is 2-3 hours at a time.
Some women recover faster however, and some require a full 6-8 weeks to feel back to normal. I was up at running around with each of mine in about 3-4 weeks.
The important thing is not to judge your recovery with anyone else's. Take care of yourself as well as that new precious bundle, and you WILL be yourself again in time.

It depends on the person. With my first pregnancy I was exhausted, but I was able to do things. With my second, I was fine right after the epidural wore off. the labor was much shorter, I went home to next day, and had a 2 year old to look after the day after that, because my husband had to go back to work. Before I was back to myself, was maybe a week.

It depends ...did you have a natural birth or a c-section? C-sections tend to take longer because they are more invasive .... Natural childbirth ....usually a week although your body will go through many changes along the way ... hope that helps:)

IT DEPENDS ON THE WOMAN, AND HOW THEY DELIVERED. I FELT GREAT A FEW HOURS AFTER VAGINAL DELIVERY OF MY 3 BOYS WHO WEIGHED 7.5, 8.8, AND 7.3 POUNDS.
