If you take into consideration that he was injured for part of this season, it only makes his numbers more incredible. I think Pujols would have had better numbers than Ryan Howard if Pujols hadn't gotten hurt. In the beginning of the season, he just kept hitting home runs. It seemed like he hit one or more nearly every game. At one point when he was hitting really well, I calculated how many home runs he would have by the end of the season if he kept up his then-current pace. It was somewhere around 80 home runs. Albert Pujols: the best active player in baseball.

He's a MONSTER!

Imagine if he played ALL 162 games?

No doubt he would have broken Roger Maris' homerun record of 61.

I say Maris' cuz Bonds, MacQuire and Sosa were all juiced so the record STILL stands!

Yea he's ridiculous. I didnt realize this until I heard it on ESPN the other day, but he only has 50 strikeouts. 49 home runs - 50 strikeouts. Thats insane for someone with that power.
