Actually no you do not at least in Ohio you don't. They do get a day off on Presidents day but not this day. Doesn't make alot of sense or cents or since whatever does it?

That depends upon what your local Board of Education has determined. Most school boards look at Columbus Day as a Federal Holiday so it is also a school holiday. A few school boards that have a "ultra liberal, politically correct" mind set consider Columbus to be a "racist" and they do not allow their school students to celebrate that holiday. Ask your Mom and Dad which kind of community you live in, or better you, just stay home Monday and celebrate the day yourself.

Yes. Usually most schools are closed. But unfortunally, this year they decided to have school on columbus day. I think that sucks!

I don't know about these days, but when I was going to school you went on Columbus Day ... In fact back when they had the big Columbus Day Storm in Oregon in 1962 I remember going to school that day ... Ohhhhhh that was such a neat wind storm ...

Most schools are closed, but you would have had to check with your school to find out if the holiday was being observed!

If you were too stupid to check before leaving school on Friday, then you have to go Monday. Sorry, but that's the rule.
