I live in Michigans upper peninsula, and I think people from Cananda are pretty much the same as us Americans. I think that no matter where you live there are idiots and brain surgeons, classy people and scum bunnys. That's what makes the world go round...diversity in human nature.

I've read a lot of your questions. You're not as clever as you think you are. Most Canadians don't give a flying fig about the topics you present. If you knew much about this country, you'd know that nobody would want to live in the vast majority of the far north. As for Greenland and Alaska, we barely think of them at all. As for the spelling of neighbour/neighbor, both spellings are perfectly acceptable, here, as are the spellings of litre/liter, centre/center and so on. Why on earth would we want the northern part of our country to belong to some fictional nation? Edited to add: Have a look at RandyB's answer. Now that's clever!

Some will say that people are people blah blah but there are clearly differences in different countries. I've been to Canada a few times, & one of my best friends lives there, so I have some input about government, etc. As for Canadians--I've found them far more civil, respectful & sensitive than Americans. They also treat non-citizens MUCH better than we do. I'd live there in a heart beat if I hadn't so many friends here.

Well, I've never been to Canada before, all I know about it is that Canada has less people than the state of California (my state), and the reason why everything appears so expensive in Canada is because the Canadian dollar is weaker than the American dollar.

When Dubya got reelected as President, I seriously looked into moving to Canada and becoming Canadian; however, the immigration laws and such were too strict. So, Canada can pretty much kiss my rosy-red @ss as far as I'm concerned.

From what I see on the Internet with their opinions about Americans, I think many of them are very ignorant. The funny thing is they accuse all of us of stereotyping, while they stereotype all Americans. They accuse us of blindly believing our media and government, while they do the same thing with their media and government.
