It is called hormones. No other answer I know of. I do not believe that sex was meant only to reproduce. I believe it was meant to be shared between husband and wife. I am not a Roman Catholic so my beliefs may be different. I am a Christian, though. Teenagers are vulnerable to commercials and the latest look in fashion and that is encouraging them to seek out sex. Just my opinion. Being on behalf of teenagers (of which I am no longer one) they have a really hard time dealing with issues. I pray for them.

well they have urges due to the hormones and in an earlier time that is the age they would reproduce. It feels good so they seek it to find completion. Being a teenager is hard and lonely and sex is a form of acceptance. They know its for reproducing but it feels good.

Because they have hormones raging at really high levels. And sex is not just for reproduction otherwise post-menopausal women would quit having it. That's one of the most retarded things we can tell people especially in the age of birth control. When done responsibly sex is an important part of the total human happiness package.

Because uptight idiots like you make them lose all respect for common sense. If you would just shut up, there would probably be more understanding and love in the world. And safer sex.

To answer your first question, because it's damned difficult to resist what all that hormonal activity is doing to their bodies.

To answer your second question, they don't understand the dangers of sex because their repressed parents and teachers have never dared to actually teach them anything about it, apart from "don't monkey with yourself down there."

Now are you really surprised that ignorant and inexperienced kids get into trouble with sex? I'm not.

I doubt there are many people that do it exclusively for procreation. We can't really expect teenagers to behave in a way that most of us don't.

Because sex is a natural urge and you shouldn't be so stupidly narrow-minded and judgmental.
