One random act of kindness a day is not a lot to ask and I feel great happiness when I can help another person, even in a small way. Unfortunately, many people don't seem to understand that they would benefit and the world would be a better place by regularly practicing random acts of kindness. There is enuf ugliness and negativity around us and this is a great way to help combat it !!! P.S. Check out the movie : "Pay It Forward".

Definitely. Many more than one. There are so many opportunities if one is alert to them, & has the NATURE to be kind. Give a stranger a smile, a compliment; make people laugh--stop & let that car cross the intersectrion! Respond with a thank you wave if someone is courteous to you when driving, assist an elderly person with opening doors, carrying groceries, reaching shelves. & so much more! Cheers

yes I do. If people would just stop and consider others they would probably do more than just one ramdon act of kindness a day. The problem is people get caught up in their own lives and forget there are others out there much less off then they are.

Of course. It's a wonderful idea. If every person did one good thing every day of their life, then things might be a lot better. Just smiling at someone whose having a bad day might make things just a little bit better, and might encourage them to give someone else a smile.

Not only do I think it is possible -- I try to live by this credo -- and always try to treat everyone I meet with kindness.

Unfortunately -- we live in a selfish society -- and it is getting more and more selfish every day. I am one of the baby boomers -- who when we grew up, it was "What can I DO for MY country (or others)" instead of today's generation "What can MY COUNTRY do for ME"

Yes it is! Just opening a door for a person, or letting someone go in front of you at a cash register, telling a friend how nice she looks, calling your mother, sister or brother, sending an e-mail card "just thinking about you".

Absolutely, even if it is letting someone go before you in a check out lane, holding a door for someone or helping someone by picking up something they dropped. You will find many opportunities to be kind.

oh sure, and a great idea.. one [act] will certainly leed to two and so on.. i think it should be everyones goal and 1st thought when we wake in the morning.. lets make it a law.. god knows we make everything else a law... "the kindness law" do kind things all day or get a ticket!... fact of the matter is you do get "punished" when you are not kind , and you DO get "rewarded" when you are !
