It's completely normal, it can take several months or a year for your periods to become regular. Some girls can go years before they get a normal period, but don't worry, that can be helped. For you, don't worry. Just always be prepared and pay attention to the signs your body sends you. You might get a pimple or even a few right before you start, you might start wanting to snack more, you might be bloated (your stomach will feel bigger and a little uncomfortable, your pants might feel tighter), and your breasts might ache. These are all signs that your period will be starting within a few days.

It is normal to be irregular, especially if you just started. Not sure how old you are, but there are a lot of people that are irregular. Stress can trigger you to be late along with a lot of other things, or if you are sexually active you could be pregnant. Not everyone has a period every 30 days, maybe yours is every 35 days. I have mine for five days, but it doesn't come at a set time. It's usually about 35 days between each sometimes longer. Usually you will get cramps before you start, but not always. If you are that worried it might come unexpectedly wear a tampon/pad. Then no matter what you are protected from an embarassing situation.

it depends. periods are sometimes irregular if you have only begun to go through puberty and at the other end periods are irregular if you are going through menopause. if you are a person who is in the area not affected by those concerns, you can be irregular due to stress and circumstances. and then of course if you were pregnant you would not continue to menstruate.

You're a "newbie". Things will probably be a bit irregular for you unitl your body adjusts to the new hormones surging throuhg it. Meanwhile, keep a log of you periods (day it started, symptoms, day it ended, etc.) so that you have something to go by in case you need to see a doctor. But, I wouldn't worry about it right now. give your body a good year to adjust. Welcome to womanhood!
