I can't remember what it's called, but you take the skull of a great bull and set it on a pike with fetishes and plant it in the ground in front of your home. Face the skull towards the direction of the threating party.

Downside: might attract an inordinate number of trick-or-treaters.

I will give you a Viking prayer in regards to now days. During Pagan days there was not much in Godly prayer. Here goes :
Dear God, In Jesus name I pray to you, for your help and guidance. Please protect me from doing wrong and making wrong choices. Help me to follow in Thy footsteps and learn more of Thy word.
