Yes, Dish and DirecTv both carry Chinese channels. DirecTv doesn't have as many channels as Dish though. I think DirecTv is more for Cantonese while Dish is more for Mandarin, but they both carry both languages. Call the satellite companies and ask about those channels. =)
btw, you don't have to order all the channels for the companies, you can choose to order only the Chinese channels

you need to go to a specialist satellite tv shop - buy your own tuner and tune into other world satellites. it can be done -i have a friend who has loads of other terrestrial and satellite channels in many languages, = the problem with the Uk is that it is very restricted to the SKY empire,, - and hence very difficult to get anything which is not UK based - which is a crying shame. you can always use WinAmp (www.winamp.com) to watch online TV through it, or search www.download.com for some online TV software, im sure u can find tons of them.
There's also the other solution, search www.ebay.com for free satelite channels or something, there's tons of software they sell for lets say £2-3 that will allow u to watch online TV.
OR.. install a satellite dish :)

i think you would need a special satillite for that. i have one it's called globe cast and i get european channels. hope this helps
