why is it that the people who announce to the world that they are sooooo HOT are usually not very hot at all??

Several reasons:

1. They might truly think they are hot! They see themselves as good looking and have a lot of self esteem.

2. They are really insecure and saying they are hot makes them feel better about themselves.

3. If on the computer, they figure nobody will ever see them anyway.

4. Some people are just very full of themselves and arrogant.

5. Trying to fit in or find their place in this world.

Remember, beauty is seen differently by every person.
One man's trash is another man's treasure.

I have known some like this....
One in particular; she was built like a hockey stick with a mop on top of the handle, always had stacks of glamour magazines, and looked like she fell face first off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
She also had a matching ugly personality. She also thought that she was the most brilliant person on earth, but nobody else did.

If you would like, I could send you a picture of myself, but you probably wouldn't look at it twice.

Most of these people whom you speak of were dropped on their heads as children. Some even were probally thrown down flights of stairs which caused there uglyness (if its a word). So due to the head tramas and additions they picked up they become disorented and think there 'Hot'.

I find it true as well, we live in sad times.

haha i know exactly what u mean! theres always sooooo many people who's web names are like "sexyboy" or some crap and u look at their pics and your just like "huh...EWWWW......sexy my ***" lol

i dont know why but it could be to make themselves feel better or maybe their parents tell them that theyre gorgeous too much or theyre just seriously delusional but i know exactly what you mean
