the trail from a jet flying overhead. The scene really resonated with me .... the idea that life was still proceeding normally in the rest of the world, while Britain imploded. Your opinion?

I think that when the guy is locked up by the "army" guys, there's another there who he talks with. The other guy presents a theory that the virus is confined to Britain (with such quick transmission, how could it travel?) and the rest of the world is just waiting for it to die out or whatever. When he sees the jet trail, he realizes the other guy was right. That was my take on it anyway.

It's a very good film. One of the best zombie flicks ever. I clearly remember the shot of the plane flying very high overhead. The rest of the world probably would have just stayed off the isle of Britian and let everyone die off. The only other possibility is if the military from other nations wanted to unite and comb through the country from the perimeter to the core, seeking any stragling zombies.

my opinion... well i luv that movie! (CILLIAN MURPHY=HAWT) but anyways when i saw that part i kinda thought "oh that might mean that the three of them will like be found/saved" you know like that was their hope. like maybe that was what it meant... or maybe thats just the way i like to think of it...but anyways i guess the though of other people going on with life not even thinking bout everyone in britain is kinda... hard to think well i don't know..... but i like that movie!!!

That movie freaked me out because I think that problem could happen. That was a good movie.
