Schindler's List.
It was a very moving tribute to a time in history where one man made a world of difference for many people. The movie itself was tastefully done in a very realistic manner with the main character having both ideals and flaws. The performances all around were stunning.

Favourite quote from that movie is when he says:

when they engineered all the reptiles to be just females to control their breeding
Even after years of watching them when i was young it's still one of the very best.
