You should drink the equivilant of 4 to 6, twenty ounce bottles of water. That's 80-120 oz. a day. And no more or you can get water toxicity and your kidneys will shut down.
Seriously.

It is healthy to drink half of your body weight in ounces. Like if you weight 120 then you need 60 ounces of water a day. If you are out in the sun or active more water is good. But drinking too much water can be dangerous too.

You should drink water when you feel thirsty, that is your body's way of telling you that you need water. But you also get a lot of water from eating fruits and veggies.
Drinking more water than you need shouldn't harm you, but sometimes feeling thirsty all the time can be a symtom of diabetes, so check that out.

8-8oz glasses is what you are supposed to drink everyday.
My mom knew a lady who drank a gallon of water a day, as a weight loss program.
Water is one of the best things you can drink, and it's usually free.
