on wed. oct. 4, 2006 my boss called me to let me know that i will be getting a new boss because she took another position within the company. the only thing is that the new boss is an employee within the company that i knew as a phleb. now she been promoted to a boss, for the department i'm working in. the way i knew her was as a mean, miserable person whom seemed to not like me. she just treated me that way that i will never forget. i told my boss now that i may be looking for another job. being that i already had problems with this going to be new boss and i don't want to get into anymore problems. my boss now said i should give it a try before i leave, since i been there for a long time 6 yrs long. i fear i might get into it with her and lose my job. please help me decide what i should do?

You're right to be alarmed, but don't be too quick to jump ship.
Sometimes people change and it can't hurt to give her a chance.
Do a good job and see what happens. If she's still as bad as you
remember you can look for a new position using your old boss as
a reference.

Your old boss gave you good advice. Try it before you leave. If she is still mean and vindictive, you can't be fired without good cause. Do a good job and try working under the new boss for a few months. If you don't like working for her, try to transfer within the company. If you can't do that, then it's time to look for a new job elsewhere.

Be sure to stay in touch with the old boss, though. That's the one that you want to ask for a reference!

You have been employed by the company.
If your boss asks you to do a certain job just remember that she has been employed to give these instructions and that you will do the best job for the company.
Nothing says you have to like this person but respect her position .
Do the best job you can with a smile on your face use your manners toward her and enjoy your day .
Take care!
