It doesn't. Its a cover of Depeche Mode's song of the same title, and the songwriter said this about the song
"It's a song about being a Jesus for somebody else, someone to give you hope and care"
So it doesn't necessarily have a direct connection to the actual Jesus, but its more about the idea of being "a jesus" to somebody else. They use Jesus as a metaphor for someone who cares about you.
The song is not about the Jesus everyone else knows about.
Its about the songwriter himself. He's saying he's like a "personal jesus" to whoever the song is going out to.

Obviously you've never heard of Depeche Mode. Manson just covered the song. Oh yeah, it has nothing to do with Jesus.

It's not Marilyn Manson's "Personal Jesus". It's Depeche Mode's. He just covered it.
And no, it has nothing to do with Jesus. If that confuses you, learn something about metaphor.

The character in the story is telling his girl, all the things he can be for her: a friend, someone to hear her prayers, someone who cares, someone who forgives. Which are all things that Jesus Christ supposedly is/does. In other words, he could be her own personal Jesus.
