First I'd scream and then I'd go celebrate some how. Probably take my kids to the most expensive restaurant in town (we live in a small town, so that's not saying much). Then I'd probably do the same as most, spend some, save some and give some away.
I do have dreams and goals, so I'd be able to work on many of them faster, possibly hiring people to help. So, even though it would be nice, I still plan on doing all the above during my lifetime. It just will take a bit more time to accomplish.

Tax free?? If yes then I would give my parents a Million. Have a house built and paid off, of course a car. Invest in something promising. Shopping, and pay off college. Then save the rest for the future.

Well, the IRS would get a big amount of it, then all your friends and relatives would all of a sudden be your best friend. I would give it to charity, keep some for myself, give some to kids in the family, especially a daughter who is working all the time supporting herself, unmarried and in ill health. Pay off my bills, and don't know, probably help a sister who needs some help now. Put it into the bank or an annuity for income at the best int. rate.
