I have a square that is devided into nine boxes...three rows and three columns. For my drama class I have to label the acting areas. Can you help me?

You have Upstage Right, Upstage Left, Upstage Center, Downstage Right, Downstage Center, Downstage Left, Center Stage, RIght Center, and Left Center. You try to figure out which goes where. Here's a hint, though. You use the actor's directions, not how a director would sit in the audience.

And another hint. In the early days of theatre, the staged was raked - meaning that the back of the stage was raised higher than the front...so if they came from front to back...they literally had to walk DOWN the stage.

I hope this helps without giving it all away! Good Luck!

No, try to figure it out. You will retain the information if you do it yourself. Hmmm, are you sure you want to be an actor?
