Well, it depends... if you are speaking of the creatures out of myth and legend, I don't know....
But if you are speaking of the people who have various issues and are of very small stature, then being called 'dwarves' would be one of them. No offense... we all have to learn! Good Luck!

I have been watching a show on TV called Little people big world on TLC TV. It is amazing what this family has done and is doing. Obstacles are grocery shopping everything is high up and they have to climb the shelves to get it. The Kitchens are made in homes for taller people, the mother has to keep a milk carton to push over to the stove so she can reach it, then move it over to the cabinets to get the dishes, They had to have special equipment put in their cars to reach the pedals. If you get time to watch this show it will really open your eyes, they are an amazing family. Both Mother and Father are Little People and then they have a daughter who is normal, and then Twins 1normal and the other dwarf, Health care does not cover them, because they consider anything that happens to them is pre existing, So they pay for everything on there own.

I believe problems with the spine for one. They are also confronted with rude people who stare or make fun of them when they are growing up. Sometimes, they have a shorter life span. I may be wrong. You should do research on the subject.
