From State College, PA?

Greyhound would be the simplest, along with its various Trailways units.

By train? You'rte not really near a station, are you? PA stations would takre you through Philadelphia; go on to New York. FRom there, the Adirondack takes you to Montreal. It's a beuatiful ride, but not quick.

If you can get to Syracuse or therabouts, you can go by train east to Albany/Schenectady and go north from there (on the Adirondack), or west to Niagara Falls, cross the border, take a Via Rail Canada train to Toreonto, and another to Montreal. long and convoluted.

You're better off by bus; it'll be a lot cheaper, too.
