Personally, I use Platex slimfits tampons. I hate Tampax - their tampons expand length wise, but not really widthwise, and Platex expands both ways - makes me feel more secure. I've also notice that the Tampax applicator falls apart more frequently when I'm taking it out of its package - annoying. Platex has both cardboard and plastic applicators - I prefer the plastic, much easier to insert.

I prefer Playtex or Kotex brand because they expand like an umbrella inside instead of getting longer which is very uncomfortable to me...also you need to get the ones that are deodorant free because they are less likely to cause yeast infections.
As far as pads, I like Always longs with wings...you do not need to have the new ones with the wipes but necessarily but wipes do help to keep you cleaner. I use them both together and have had no leakage problems since...they are especially good at night.

I prefer Tampax compact and Tampax pearl for my tampons because they hold alot of blood when my period is on so I won't have to worry and leaks and I like Always with the leak core and wings because they don't feel like diapers when I wear them and they don't leak because of the leak core and wings. In my opinion, I think Always clean pads are good because instead of the blood just sitting there in your pad and making you feel all squishy and wet, it soaks it up so you feel clean and dry.

I like Playtex tampons because of the applicator and the way they open inside you.
For pads I buy Always. They fit the best for me.

I have used Tampax for 35 years and will continue until I am in menopause. As for pads, I now use Always. I find that they are comfortable, thin and can absorb enough without leaking.

I used OB tampons, I had less leakage and the non applicator ones are small and inconspicuous. I also used a alternative tampon called Instead which I loved as I could be more active without worry.

Try Tampax Pearl, They're comfy.
I hate pads with wings..incredibly uncomfy!!! I don't know about the best brand, though. Sorry

I like OB tampons. They are comfortable and don't have an applicator that you have to toss. They are small enough to fit in a pocket inconspicuously. They also come in lots of sizes to fit the various flows during your period.

I prefer Playtex Gentle Glide. They have a plastic applicator so they go in easily, and I've never had a problem with odors or leaking.
