I think the average American has NO IDEA what federal politics is all about and how things get done. to get anything done you have to trade and compromise and by the time it is all said and done you have sold your soul for nothing. I think we should fire them all and start over.
Politicians protect the rich MF that paid for their campaign not the hard working average person trying to survive. Tax breaks for the upper class and corporations cuts for education in districts that are already falling apart.
politicians adding a bad item to a good bill so it won't pass. delegating $$ for pet projects in their districts so their local rich friends get kickbacks. it is disgusting.
try reading the budget and where OUR tax $$ goes it is ridiculous

The thing that Congress cares about most is the people's vote not their needs.

Yes I do! They are more for what ever is in their best interest. They might talk a good talk in public but behind closed doors it is all them. They do some small thing for the people just to say look what we did for you. Example: they increase the minimum wage a few cents but they vote them selves a hugh pay increase. They are voted into office by the people for whom they are suppose to work for but they give themselves their own raises. Wouldn`t it be nice if we could do that at our place of emplyment. Think about it!

No, its a democracy, you elect the person who runs congress. If you dont like him, nominate or vote for someone else who shares your wants. Write your congressman a letter. People have lost touch with taking action and just result to bitching when they dont like something.
