Thorny Devil, often referred to as a Moloch is a slow moving harmless, non aggressive reptile which lifts its tail moving slowly and jerkily when it walks. It has prominent spines which are soft and its colouring Which ranges from yellow to reddish-brown to black depending upon which type of soil it is crossing to serve as camouflage which can grow to a total length of 20 cm and the larger female can weigh up to 90 gms. It feeds exclusively on ants. It is believed to have a lifespan of up to 20 years

Thorny devils are found throughout out Australia's interior desert, mostly on sandy soils Plant life in these area varies from Spinafex to "Mallee" scrubland.

Thorny Devil is a Moloch. It is a strange Australian desert lizard. It is completely harmless. It eats ants one at a time. It collects water in an unusual way and that is from the water on it's back. It is a slow moving lizard.

thorny devil is a skink. a skink is a member of the lizard family and is found in the arid parts of australia the "thorns" enable moisture to travel from all parts of the body to the mouth in droplet form.
