Absolutely YES! Tell a trusted adult, or the police, but honey, PLEASE make certain in your own mind it is true abuse, many families have been torn apart by teens who felt they were being abused when in reality they were not. If you are being beaten, starved, subjected to cruel punishments that involve humiliation or if sexual contact is taking place with one or both parents THAT IS ABUSE. Good luck and God bless.

If a child is indeed being abused, telling someone is extremely important. A school official or a child abuse hotline is best. If the teenager has just been abused and there is proof or evidence of it, call the police especially if the teenager feels like they are not safe! Make sure that if it's happening to you, you tell the truth about everything so they know how serious it is. If it's someone else, make sure you tell everything you know. The teenager is not pressing charges...the state you live in is! It is a crime to abuse a child...period.

Depends on your term abuse. If it's discipline, only if they beat you. If it's sexual then yes. You have to remember, your a teenager, so your NOT a adult yet. If it is just grounding you, no TV or phone, etc, then your SOL.
You really need to give more info if you want a real answer.
And it is sad how many jump to say Yes without facts. Shows how low our country is going that your guilty 1st, then have to prove your innocent.

By all means, any child can press charges, no matter if it is their parent, or who ever it is. You do not have to take it! Get help. call 911 or tell the school.

Try to get amancipated... The only way you can do that is if you have a job and can proved for yourself.... Now if your being abused tell someone. Now you can only get put in maybe a foster home if the social services can find that you are being abused

definatley. Anyone being abused can press charges. Call your local police station or something like a battered womens shelter (assuming your female) and they will help you out.

It depends on what you call abuse, but sexual abuse certainly. Physical abuse if it leaves a mark. Mental or verbal abuse is tough.
