First of all, we live in a police state. We are answerable to laws that are enforced by the police and created by the idiots that we are stupid enough to elect for office.

Monarchy is relying on the bloodline to provide a stable government. I'm sure that you know that there are some members of your family that you wouldn't let out in public, let alone run the government.

Dictatorship proves the theory: Absolute power corrupts absolutely. I know that everyone has the potential for total self absorbancy.

Communism has its ups and downs. The idea is that everyone gets their equal share...steal from the rich to balance out society. It's a utopian concept that can never really be applied without bias.

And I really believe that we are also living in an oligarchal society right now, with our vice-president being tied to Halliburten, our president being tied to oil. And Totalitarianism is the same thing...in essence.

Absolute Monarchy would be Henry the VIII kicking out the Catholic church for his own self serving interest, and then proceding to create a church, and ignoring his advisors...things like that just don't work. Eventually, there will be war against the king.

Atleast we have the concept in our minds that we have some say in how our government works.

In all of the above, the main problem is that if you oppose them you end up dead.
Also no protection of the law. Anyone with better connections to "the boss" (whoever it might be) wins any court case. Also can take any property. Or person (eg, to serve him as slave, or just to rape and murder like Saddam's sons used to do)
