im watchin forest gump the leutenant who lost his legs how do they do that is the guy who plays him already lost his legs or is it special effects i cant work it out coz he was walkin at the begginin i could b bein really thick but i just cant figure it did he hav prostetics or somthing

so i wasnt bein thick then i did see him wif legs i ask coz it baffeled me how he was picked up of the hospital bed so his legs couldnt b hidden cheers for clearin that up im not just goin mad amazin wat they can do wif special effects dont u think

if he hasn't lost his legs then his legs are either tucked in underneath him or hidden through an opening on the chair, or table. now, it's special effects, they had him wear a lime green pant legs from the knee down.

They filmed him doing all his scenes against a 'green' screen. Then they edited out the leg and added a CGI enviroment back in.

The actor who plays him is called Gary Sinise, who plays Mac on CSI New York, he is fully mobile and looking rather sexy lately if i do say so myself!!!!!!

computer effects (cgi). theres lots of them in that movie, was one of the 1st to use technolgy avalable at that time, even the feather over the start credits is cgi

he was filmed with green screen and green legs so that when it was edited they were camouflaged. like a weather presenter wearing green it will blend in and become the map.
