I think she should cool it with the boss no matter what the circumstances. I'm suspicious of her motives actually.

Never under any circumstances mix business with pleasure. Not if you did not start out that way and even then it is best to keep the personal stuff away from work.
If your "friend" is staying at the bosses home she should respect the woman and not try to come on to her. It could lead to trouble down the road and hard feeling. Keep it friendly but she should NEVER step over the line.
If the boss makes a move on her (if it was me) I would have to say, tell her that she is flattered and very attracted to her but that it would not be a good idea since they work together.
If this "friend" really has such a large crush she might think about finding another place to work and then maybe ask the boss out to lunch and tell her how she feels.
Just an idea. Good luck to your"friend"

First of all we all have gaydar and know when the person is gay or not. Just have your friend talk to her and get to know her better that is the only way she will find out if she is gay or not. I would not just ask hey are you gay that will be a big no no. She will eventually let your friend know if she is or if she isn't. Wheewww sure glad I am straight lol

If your friend is a 100% lesbian it seems to me she would know for sure. There has to be signs in the house or in her office. There has to be signs of how she carries herself.
Your friend just needs to make conversation with her leading up to finding it out.

She needs to be very careful where her job is concerned. You can't mix business with pleasure. As for if she is gay or not, they say they recognize their own.
