Or anywhere else in the Netherlands?

I love the Indonesian food I've eaten in Amsterdam but it doesn't taste much like the food in Jakarta.

Hi,

I'm Dutch and I've lived and worked in Indonesia for many years. I've checked out many Indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam. This is one of my favorites:

Restaurant: Warung Semarang
Address: De Grote Geusplein 15, Amsterdam
Phone: 020-6134911

Public transport:
From train station Sloterdijk to the Troelstralaan by (GBV) bus 192 (direction Schiphol). Get off at busstop Troelstralaan and walk from there (5 min).

Selamat makan!

This won't help much as I have not been to Indonesia. I do want to second your opinion of a variety of Indonesian restaurants in The Netherands. My experience has been wonderful! Except I'm not as crazy about ginger as some of them seem to be. I love to order rijs tafel with a group. It's a lot of fun and everyone finds something to love. Thanks for reminding me of this wonderful experience.

Endie is right.
If you can't find it, stick to the smaller restaurants outside the center.
