My mother went on my computer and deleted my music which has all of my music on my ipod and now when i tried to update my ipod and add songs it says that i have to replace it with the music that i just ripped on my computer to get those songs....The only problem with that is that i have 1,300 songs on it and i don't want to lose them all. Is there anyway i can put new songs on my ipod without having to delete all of my other songs?

Start burning CDs for safe keeping. This might be a good lesson for you. Hard drives do not last forever. You should always be in the habbit of downloading and BURNING.... or just expect to LOSE it.

You might even consider buying an External drive, so your mom doesn't BUG you about keeping stuff on the C drive.

HEY, someday, you will have your own (son, or computer?). After all, PC stands for Personal Computer, so "Keep A Ya Hands Off".

Good luck with that!

You can use iDUMP, a software that allows you to transfer your songs of your iPod to a PC. Connect your iPod and run iDump and you'll have access to all your songs, select the songs you want to transfer then pick a destination directory and how you would like your songs to be named. And then sit back and transfer all the selected songs to the PC. After that you can already add them in your music library in iTunes. It is easy to use. =)

The good news is iDump is FREE! Here is the link where you can download the software.

Hmmm... I thought there was a setting in iTunes to just add the new songs... isn't there?...

Hmmm.. no.. not there anymore... thought it was there in the original iTunes program... but then I don't have my iPod hooked up right now so maybe it needs that to be connected before the option becomes visible.

Didn't your iTunes save a second copy of your music? I know mine does and keeps it seperate from my windows media player. So I can't really answer you question without knowing whether or not your mum deleted it from your windows music folder or your iTunes.
