**** these uneducated twats with answers like prostitution.
if you are really sure that you want to give up what i presume was your passion and this is not just brought on by bad luck then just go for it. it is such a hard carrer and if you honestly think you can make yorself happy in a more stable carrer then thats the best option. Teaching is def a way to go as you can still do what you love. nowerdays with your Drama degree you can become a drama teacher in a state school without a teacher qualifucation but as a practitioner. you workfor one year as a paid teacher and are mentored. go for it.

I wouldnt give up that easily, especially if you are making some money from acting. If you are not making any money at all, well, make sure you leave the acting world on good terms because otherwise there are mean and spiteful people in that world that if they hate you, you will never work any job other than those in the porn industry.

Don't give up Think about the tourism industry, always room for a qualified person speaking about the drama of a destination. If you are a good speaker try one of the convention and tourism bueaus.

As an earlier answerer suggested, you could try teaching people to act. If you're looking for a complete career change, might I recommend and exciting new career in physics, math, or the natural sciences? I'm a physicist so I like suggesting physics to people. ;)

Tour Guide or Public Relations. The first you get to see the world if you can stand being with a few elders at a time. Public Relations you get to meet so many people it will make your head spin and you'll want to go back to acting!

What about working for an events management company? They often need emcees. i would think with your performance abilities that you could act as an emmcee quite easily.
