Is there a way to use a highlighter over fountain pen ink without it smudging?

The best way I found is use transparent colored tape. You can usually find it in office supply stores.

make sure the pen ink is thoroughly dried before you highlight it. also you could try highlinting a blank spot first and then writing over it. hope this helps, i know fountain pens can be messy lol.

This probably seems a little weird, but try hilighting the area you`re going to write in before you write. Try to do a little at a time -- it would be better to add more a little more hilighter at a time than have too much.
