I"m sure John Reid would make a better PM than Gordon Brown. At least he doesn" talk as if he"s got a bumble bee in his mouth. Gordon Brown as chancellor tells us the economy is in fantastic shape. Of course it is, we have never been taxed so heavily and the money goes straight into Gordon's department to spend as he likes. He keeps saying he is spending it on improving services. If this is correct why has my council tax increased so much since Labour have been in power. Funny I thought that was for improving services. I"ve just come back to Devon after a weekend in London, and whilst there I was amazed to see the extent of the government buildings in Westminster. It must cost billions and billions for upkeep alone. not a sign of portacabins, like the ones half are kids are being taught in. If there is money to save, start in Westminster. If John Reid was to promise to "reduce" the size of Government, he would get my vote.

It depends on the election for the next Labour leader, if John Reid runs and wins then he can become the next PM. I like the way he has got to grips with the Home Office, very business like, and no nonsense type bloke. Yes he is a Scot, and I've got a bit fed up with all the Scots in government, but i do like John Reid's style, and might well put my vote his way, but you can forget it if Gorden Brown gets to be leader.

Something I find very interesting is all those people who don't want a Scotsman to be PM. I don't understand this attitude, wasn't the act of union several hundred years ago, I mean we are all one country aren't we? Despite the Scottish Parliament which has limited powers, surely it doesn't matter if we have a Scots, Welsh, English or N. Irish PM???

Blair isn't any diverse now than he develop into even earlier he received skill. It develop into clear then that he develop into no longer the right determination. i'm a socialist. Blair isn't. even with the indisputable fact that, the individuals were given the guy they needed, and now they are going to no doubt pick someone new who will also betray the beliefs of socialism. who's the authentic skill in England besides? that's easily no longer the PM.

No! Reid is my worst nightmare for PM, he's so authoritarian and reactionary.
He's failed to reform the Home Office, we have no idea of his views of foreign policy and he's making a pig's ear of the prison system too.

"But he doesn't stand for any nonsense, least of all from our muslim friends. "
Meaning he's a supporter of institutional racism in the form of muslim-bashing, just like his buddy Jack Straw and most of the Labour party.
