Regional accents are often preferred to 'queen's English' as advertisers believe they convey more personality and emotion - a quality essential for building and supporting brands.

According to what focus groups/ research you believe different accents convey different qualities.

The Scottish accent is my favourite too, but only when spoken by women. I don't know why but a soft, Scottish accent sounds so comforting and melodious.

'Northern' and scottish accents are deemed to be more friendly, probably because thier tone of voice is higher.
