About six months. We had been feeding him in a bouncy seat until he had the ability to sit up on his own. With our daughter, we were able to do it at 5 1/2. Depends on the baby.

My oldest as soon as he could sit. I have an adjustable high chair now that has a seat that tilts backwards so the child does not need to be able to sit. I put my 3 week old in that chair during meals so he can still sit with the family while we eat, and it's just as comfortable for him as any little baby bouncy chair or swing.

As soon as he can sit up and hold his head up on his own, then he's old enough. Our baby was just after 6 months old, but still makes a mess in his high chair now he is 1 year old!!!

My first was 7 or 8 months before I put her in a high chair. I haven't put the baby in it yet (she's 4.5 months). No reason to since she won't get solids for 2 or 3 more months anyway.

That depends on the baby's abilities and the baby high chair that you have on hand.
Even when my babies were able to sit up by themselves, I always checked the age recommendations on the high chair and then used my own judgement as to whether it was a good idea or not.

We put our twins in a high chair at 6 months when we began feeding them solid foods.

I think my son was 4 1/2 months! The high chair i've got reclines to make it easier for your baby!!! hope this helps!!

She was about 7 months old. When she first started to eat solids it was just easier for me to feed her in the bouncy chair, but when that started to get messy I moved her into her feeding chair.

i put my baby in a high chair when he was sitting up,which was at 6 months.
also one should only put a bay in a high chair when one starts solid foods at the reccomended age of 6 months and not before

Both of my children were 4 mos old when they were in a high chair.
