I am not a great fan of his and I am sure a lot of other people share that with me. Whilst he has been a very good Chancellor....he has little or no charisma and one wonders how he can be the face of Britain both here and overseas.......

Given that it seems to be pretty much a 'done job' that he will take over from TB some time soon......we as a British public have one opportunity to express our opinion on having an elected PM in charge of us......by voting in the next general election. Personally I hope we stick one up the Labour party and boot him and the party out.....I think we have had enough Labour for now....

NO! Gorden Brown has showed exactly what he's capable of,to achieve his own gain!! Tony Blair should sack Gordon Brown. In fact, he ought to have done it years ago. I cannot think of any prime minister who has put up with such chronic disloyalty from a senior colleague over such a long period.! Gordon Brown is interested in..............Gordon Brown!! There is no way that Gordon Brown should be trusted to run the country.

Do you want Labour to be the next government?

Hell no!

I'm voting conservative for the first time in my life as I feel David Cameron is connecting better with me than any other politician.

Although Gordon Brown is Scots and I am too, I don't agree with their policies and in-fighting. As much as I'd like a Scots MP, not Gordon Brown!

Only if he explodes the next day and Tony has to join the Circus as a ballerina, They open a Jaguar Garage in Cherie's gob, Babara Windsor becomes Chancellor, They make the Blue Peter Garden into a Theme Park and the Queen gets so fed up of living near the pointless bunch of know nowt idiots that she moves to a bungalow in Frinton on Sea. If he get's there, these are my conditions and I won't rest until they are fulfilled!

No. As he represents a Scottish constituency, it would not be right to be in charge of English affairs now that there is a Scottish Parliament. In any case he has not done a very good job as Chancellor, and the results of his mishandling of the economy are now becoming apparent. Don't forget he was responsible for selling our gold reserves at a knock down price.

Yes, only one who has any sense. How can people say he has made a mess of the economy? No 15% inflation as there was under Margrette Thatcher. Statesman, yes - anybody else who has as much clout as he does come forward. Tories, your having a laugh - they don't even have any policies. Oh sorry, you don't mind voting for a party who won't say what they are going to do. That says a lot. If you want stability and sustained growth in the economy go with Brown. At least you know what you are going to get. Good solid common sense and sound finances. Now Fus 336, as to Gold Reserves, what planet are you on. Gold hasn't been the basis for the value of the Pound for decades. Says it all really, no brain and under educated.

No....

The skills required to be a prime minister, are rather different to his current position. Also, whilst I have nothing against the Scots, I think England should be run by the English...just as Scotland is run by the Scots.

No. There are many reasons, but mostly it's that weird mouth-gape thing he does that makes it look like he's regurgitating something.

It's calmed down recently though. I think he's getting help to stop it ...
