Some black women think there are not enough good black single men on the market. So, when a white woman marries a "good" black man, some black women get perturbed. On the other hand, there are some black men who become wroth when a black woman chooses to marry a white man because they believe the woman is choosing a man representative of the master class; she, in turn becomes his slave. One rap song asks, "How could you prefer to be with those who sprayed you with guns and hoses and never put roses on the graves of the slaves that they treated like dirt, after all that hard work?"

But I would contend that love or the attraction toward one's inner person--not skin color--should dictate who one marries.

I wish there was no prejudice in the world, but unfortunatly, that is not so. I quess we just need to be the best person we can be and not worry too much over what other people choose to get so worked up over.
I think you should marry the person you fall in love with, and color shouldn't matter.
But as to why, (I don't feel this way) some people feel that any children they have will not fit in. I think most people that get worked up about it are racist whether they realize it or not.

People try to profile couples on their looks and similarities. In a marriage such as this, people's natural attempts at profiling are screwed up immediately. Like, they did these tests to see what man goes with what woman, and the people putting the couples together all chose wife's that looked facially similar to the men. And you know what? They got that right. Most couples believe it or not do look very like each other or have a similar level of attractiveness.
