Whether you used borrowed money or cash is up to you. Most real estate investors use borrowed money so they can buy lots of property and if the deal does not work out they run away and hide, sticking it to the bank. If you are new, the most important thing to know is to sell the property for more than you paid for it -- that is called a "profit" and is very nice indeed. You can take your "profit" money and use it to buy something for yourself. Be sure not to sell the property for LESS than you paid -- that is called a "loss" and is bad for you.
