I was going to say look up in the back of or some where in your dictionary, because many countries have different conversion chart than others like metric or imperial or standard unit. So depending on where you live, you should go by what your school goes by. Good luck and yes, the other person got it 36 inches is right base on where I live.

Depends on if it's your front yard or back yard. An easy formula that will work with either though is to measure the number of feet and multiply by 12.
